Purple Mystery Snail

The Purple Mystery Snail (Pomacea bridgesii) or Spike Topped Apple snail is one of the most popular and sought after type of freshwater snail. 
They come in many different colours such as  golden yellow, shades of purple, blue, jade, and chestnut. 
The mystery behind these Mystery is that they lay their eggs above water.  Making the breeding and hatching process of these snails fun. 
They are great for any community tank and get along well with other tank mates.  They are also excellent for cleaning up any excess food and decaying plant matter in your tank. 
 
Mystery Snails originates in South America with the highest density being in Peru, Paraguay, Brazil, and Bolivia.
